About me

I'm Anna Sher. — a person with a split soul. Technology and writing. I've never managed to keep them separate.

I've been writing since my teens — manuscripts, poems, short stories, ideas that refuse to stay quiet. Around the same time, I wrote my first lines of code. I didn't think of them as different activities. Both were about finding the precise sequence of words that makes something happen — in a reader's mind, or in a machine.

For over a decade I've worked in technology — building AI-powered products, turning research into market-ready innovations, and navigating the intersection of what's technically possible and what people actually need. Writing skills followed me into that work in unexpected ways: creating characters and scenarios for immersive experiences, building narratives for commercial products, shaping the stories that make technology feel human. The exchange worked both ways — the professional experience eventually became plot.

Years of watching technology reshape industries, disrupt behaviours, and quietly rewrite the rules of societies — that material had nowhere to go but onto the page. Both manuscripts that emerged from it aren't tech stories. They are a human one. But it couldn't have been written by someone who wasn't inside the tech machine.

This space sits at the crossing point. Behind the scenes of technology and writing — case studies and curiosities, product thinking and cultural observations, code and prose. If you're curious about what happens when these worlds collide, you're in the right place.

Programmer's code — is also a story. The difference is that the code is words with consequences. While a story word's are code we haven't compiled yet.
